We are seeking a seasoned Account Director with extensive experience in events and experiential marketing, ideally with a background in working with regulated substances. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing client relationships, leading successful campaigns, and navigating the complexities of marketing initiatives involving regulated products or industries. As an integral part of our team, the Account Director will oversee strategic planning, client communication, and campaign execution to ensure exceptional results and compliance with relevant regulations.

Client Relationship Management:

·      Serve as the primary point of contact forassigned clients, fostering strong relationships built on trust andtransparency.

·      Understand client objectives, challenges, andregulatory requirements related to their industry or products.

·      Collaborate with clients to develop tailoredstrategies and solutions that align with their business goals and compliancestandards.

Strategic Planning and Campaign Development:

·      Lead the development of comprehensive marketingstrategies and experiential campaigns, integrating innovative ideas withregulatory considerations.

·      Work closely with internal teams, including creative, production, and logistics, to translate strategies into actionable plans and deliverables.

·      Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth within regulated industries.

Project Management and Execution:

·      Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

·      Provide clear direction and guidance to team members, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.

·      Monitor campaign performance and KPIs, implementing adjustments as needed to optimize results and maximize ROI.

Compliance and Risk Management:

·      Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the promotion and marketing of regulated substances or products.

·      Develop and implement processes and protocols to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

·      Proactively identify potential risks or compliance issues and work with clients and internal stakeholders to address them in a timely manner.

Business Development and Growth:

·      Identify opportunities for account expansion and revenue growth, leveraging existing client relationships and industry expertise.

·      Participate in new business pitches and presentations, showcasing the agency's capabilities and value proposition top retrospective clients.

·      Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic initiatives and business development plans.

skills & experience required:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or client services, with a focus on events, experiential marketing, and regulated industries an asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with marketing and promoting regulated substances or products.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving results, exceeding client expectations, and achieving business objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
